Number of administrators not correct

    Hello,

    I setup a site with 2 administrators.
    One called “Isaac”
    One called “root”
    But it shown that there are 3??? (inside the All Users” Page)
    I don’t know why WordPress show that I have 3 administrators with my site.

    Is “root” has special meaning, and occupy 2 account. I don’t know please help.

    One possibility… and I’m not saying this is the case — just a possibility — is that your site was hacked and the hacker created another administrator account that is not visible in the dashboard. This is a common backdoor access hackers leave so they have on-going administrative access to the site.

    Check the “users” table in your WordPress database (using your favourite database management tool, like phpMyAdmin) to see the actual users in the database.
