    The email settings that have worked for years now, all of a sudden, seem to be doing weird things with Contact Form’s code.
    I have two forms: one successfully sends the messages, but when I try to reply, I risk to send mails to myself, as in the “To” field in the tab that opens there’s my own email address and not my site’s visitor’s; so I always have to be careful, remember this, and manually put the visitor’s address in the field. The other form straight-up doesn’t work anymore: a red box appears when clickling “Send”, saying “Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact the administrator by another method.”
    Again: I haven’t even entered the plugin’s settings in YEARS. They’ve always worked and I’ve just let them be.

    So, I was able to solve the gravest of the issues – the form that wasn’t sending at all – by unchecking the box reading “Use HTML content type”, which was the only difference in the settings between my two forms (the form that was correctly sending the messages already had that box unchecked).
    Now only the other issue stays: both forms send emails that have my own address in the “From” field and, if I click on “Reply” in my email client, I send replies to myself.
    Up to this moment, this was solved by adding “Reply-To: [email]” in the “Additional headers” field in the Contact Form 7 settings – and this is still there – but now this doesn’t work anymore.

    So now the attachments don’t get through anymore. Though the messages seem to be sent, I don’t see any attachments when I open them.
    This is urgent, as that is a form for a job application. Please, reply ASAP.

    Found the culprit: it’s MailPoet! When I deactivate that plugin, the forms start working again.
    MailPoet seems to be responsible for both the email address in the From field issue and the missing attachments issue.

    We are already aware of those issues and we are investigating how to fix them on our side. In the meantime, please don’t use MailPoet to send your website emails.
