If I open Dashboard -> Plugins (/wp-admin/plugins.php) the various updates needed disappear (you know where it says new version is available and provides an update button, under each plugin) as soon as the page fully loads. This prevents me from updating any plugins until I deactivate Hide Admin Notices. I could simply use Dashboard -> Updates (this is where all updates show, Themes, WP Core, and Plugins) to run the plugin updates, but I like doing one at a time from the Plugins page and watch for glitches, and also be able access the Change Log in the details link usually provided in the update available message below each plugin on the Dashboard -> Plugins.

My guess is that the CSS Class or ID that wraps a plugin’s update box below it, is now matching whatever this plugin uses to hide messages.

@etheos Indeed I can confirm that due to the update in WordPress, the Hide Admin Notices plugin will now also hide the update notifications for plugins. I can confirm that this is not the intended behaviour.

I will aim to get this fixed ASAP

    Apologies

Still no change to this? I really need plugin to hide only notices at the top. Until this is changed, I have to find an other solution

    Thanks for your message @forusak

I’m sorry that this is not yet done and that you are considering other plugins

I am close to finishing an updated version which is taking some time as I do this in my spare time entirely for free so please bear with me.

    Sure no problem. Thanks

    Hello @forusak

I have been busy completely rewriting the Hide Admin Notices plugin and I now have a beta version available 😊

Could I ask you to check if this version works better for you? You just need to download this ZIP file and upload it via the Plugins page.

    Cheers 🍻
