Notify contributor when their post is approved or declined

    Hello,

    I like your plugin, it looks very clean and simple. Thanks!

    Before I was using “WP Status Notifier”, which isn’t listed on wordpress.org anymore. I used it to get an email notification when some other contributor wants to publish a new blog post.

    What I currently can’t see / miss about your plugin: A simple way to check a radio box
    a) “Notify contributor when their post ist approved” and
    b) “Notify contributor when their post is declined”.

    Or is there another way to do that?

    Hi Daniel!

    It’s possible, but…

    You can create two notifications using triggers:
    – Post published
    – Post moved to trash

    And set up the {post_author_email} as the recipient.

    But this email will be sent each and every time anyone will get his post published or removed.

    The solution would be to use the Notification : Conditionals extension and set up the condition targeting the Author role.
