Notified of moderated comments that don't exist! O_O

    Occasionally I’ve been getting email notifications of a comment/trackback that winds up in my moderation queue qhich is obviously spam. Yet when I go to delete it, I get an error:

    “Ooops, no comment with this ID”

    My moderation queue is empty and the comment doesn’t even exist in my spam folders as monitored by Akismet. It’s weird. Anyone else ever seen this and found the reason why this happens?

    Try use WP-Optimize plugin. It will help you clean spammy comments

    This isn’t about cleaning spammy comments, but about getting email notifications of ghost spam that apparently don’t exist.
