Hi Tomas, if other plugins doesn’t send any emails, that would mean there’s the mail configuration in your WordPress instance.
Please, take a look at those docs: https://docs.bracketspace.com/notification/user-guide/troubleshooting#nothing-is-sent
Or, actually, when I read your message again I think there might be another issue.
Maybe some other plugin is overriding the default registration message and in this case, you’d need to look at this plugin options to disable that notification. Another possible debug steps are to disable all the plugins and enable them one by one, testing in the meantime to see which one causes that issue.
Hi Kuba,
thanks for the quick response.
Well I have gone through the docs, I tried to add the code to wp-config.php.
All it did was, that the WordPress default emails were not sent either.
Actually, when I setup the notification will be sent to specific user role, it was sent.
But everybody in that role received the email with activation link :).
But when I set the email/merge tag to {user_email}, it did not work.
I have installed BuddyPress which needs to be there because of the theme I am using and all other stuff the template has.
However even when disabling it, it did not help.
Best regards,
Tomas
Oh ok, I will deactive each plugin one by one and I will let you know about the results 🙂
Ok, so after deactivating each plugin one by one the issue was not resolved.
I see. In this case, does your WordPress send any emails? Ie. if you request a password reset email, do you get the email with a link?
I’d suggest checking the spam folder for a start, and if you don’t find anything, you could ask your hosting provider support for help, as most likely, the mail server is not functioning correctly.
Hi,
yes, wordpress is sending emails. But just the default ones. It cannot be overriden by any plugin. Some other plugins manage to send the emails to admin but never to user.
It’s very hard to tell what might be the issue. If disabling all the plugins didn’t change the behavior, there are only two other places where it might originate: the theme or hosting.
I have the exactly same problem here!
