Yes, the square brackets are required, otherwise it will not be identified as a shortcode.

However if you aren’t receiving the e-mail at all you may have a problem with WP Cron, which we use to schedule the e-mail. I’d suggest you use one of the Cron plugins in the WP plugin directory to make sure the WP Statistics cron jobs are running correctly.

    Hi Greg,

Thanks for the email. Yes, I have downloaded WP Crontrol but I’m still not seeing any emails. The notifications also don’t appear in the Cron events after logging back in and after making sure that I updated/saved the notifications I want to set up.

Any ideas about why the notifications aren’t running at all? Here’s the shortcode I currently have: [wpstatistics stat=pagevisit time=total id=/managing-your-ill-operation/library-networks-and-consortia/]

    Thanks!

If the cron job isn’t showing in WP Crontrol, then the mails will never be generated. Disable the notification emails, save the settings and then re-enable them and see if the cron job shows up.

Beyond that, your shortcode is incorrect as id’s never have slashes in them. The ID is not the URL to the page, but instead the page/post number (if you edit the page/post, the url will have something like “&post=37&…” in it).

    Hi Greg,

It looks like the report is in the Cron job queue, but I’m still not getting any emails.

What I’m really after is being able to share the graph of hits (noted as page trending stats) for this page: http://shareill.org/managing-your-ill-operation/library-networks-and-consortia/. Do you know of a way to export this to an excel doc or something similar.

    Much appreciated!

For the email, you’ll need to check your php log as well as your system’s mail log to see if they are getting blocked somewhere.

There’s no “report export” feature as the graphs are all JavaScript based so there’s no way to export them easily. You have a couple choices:

    – Go to the page and “print” it to a PDF.
    – Do a screen capture.
    – Grant the people you want to see the graph “read” access to WP Statistics.
