 * Hey there!
 * There’s an option added in the Global Options to avoid plugin updates notifications.
   I have some plugins a client doesn’t want to upgrade. and I keep getting notification–
   even though I canceled the option to get notified.
 * Under Dashboard Notification Options:
    I unchecked: Updates Needed (Plugin, Theme,
   or Core)
 * Yet they keep coming. what is the problem? Is anyone else experiencing it?
 * Also, I would love the option to choose which plugins won’t give out notifications
   in the event of a new update arriving.
 * Thank you for your time,

 * Hi [@lear95](https://wordpress.org/support/users/lear95/), thanks for reaching
   out to us.
 * When you disable **Wordfence > All Options > Dashboard Notification Options >
   Updates Needed (Plugin, Theme, or Core)**, they only stop appearing as part of
   the “Notifications” section on the Wordfence Dashboard. This in turn prevents
   them from adding to the number displayed in the circle next to “Dashboard” in
   your left-hand menu bar when something needs your attention.
 * You can set your email preferences to “High” or “Critical” alerts only under,“**
   Alert me with scan results of this severity level or greater**“. This would therefore
   alert you if a critical plugin update needs to be made due to security concerns
   with an older version. We do recommend that plugins are _always_ kept up-to-date
   for security reasons, but you can also choose the “Ignore” option in your scan
   results to place them in a separate tab away from the results that require your
   immediate attention.
 * Thanks,
 * Peter.

 * That’s good to know, but still I would like my alert level to stay at medium,
   I just don’t consider a simple plugin update medium, also after an update I perform
   tests on the site, so I usually do it bi-weekly / whenever a large amount of
   plugins needs to be updated.
 * Is there a way to change the severity of this report? I would argue a plugin
   not updated for over 2-3 months is medium..
