I use child theme configurator with practically all my sites, except for the older ones where I made the child themes manually.

I recently installed this plugin on a new site and have the following issues:

    1. Notice Message
    2. Doesn’t Copy Parent Files to Child Theme Directory

    1. THE NOTICE MESSAGE:

On a new site that I’m building, I got this “notice” (error message) when I get into the plugin options:

“Notice: Use of undefined constant LILAEAMEDIA_URL – assumed ‘LILAEAMEDIA_URL’ in /home/chfloor/public_html/dev2/wp-content/plugins/child-theme-configurator/includes/class-ctc.php on line 175”

    then below it,

“Child Theme Configurator did not detect any configuration data, either because this is the first time it has been used, or because a previously configured Child Theme has been removed. Please set your preferences below and click “Generate Child Theme Files”.”

At first, I didn’t have a child theme created, so I could understand the issue it was talking about, but I couldn’t accept it because its never said this before with any of my other sites.

    2. DOESN’T COPY PARENT FILES

At this point, I still see the notice message, but I’m ignoring it. So I try to copy some parent files, but no luck.

Any ideas why I’m getting this error message and why its not copying over parent files?

    King Rosales,

    A. The undefined constant is a grievous oversight that made it past testing because it was defined in another plugin. This will be patched ASAP.

    B. The notice was added in a recent version to help explain when things don’t work correctly along with a number of other self-diagnostics.

I can see how it might be annoying to experienced CTC users, so when I fix A I will also get rid of B unless it is actually caused by an error state.

    Thank you for your patience.

    King Rosales,

As for the copy files error, if you turn on the new debug option (under the Files tab) you will see the filesystem paths that the plugin is generating.

If the cause is not obvious, you can send that to me ( use our contact form because it contains server information ) I can see why the files are not being copied.

    Thanks,
