• I have spent 2.5 hours simply trying to post a new topic or ‘start a thread’ or ‘ask a question’ on this wordpress.org site. I have registered and logged in. I cannot be this blind or stupid! I have been ALL OVER the site but still cannot find a way to actually ask my question. I have seen on a Google search, a copy of a thread whereby another user has exactly the same experience and someone has solved it by providing a link for the user to go to the forum/topic/ and they will find a clickable button that says +Create Topic (I am here now!!) However the example the solution used was here: about installation. I have tried to find the same +Create Topic button on the topic I need which is about using WordPress Widgets but the button +Create Topic does not appear on the topic I need. I fail to understand why this WordPress.org site makes it so difficult to even find the place to write the problem/start a thread/ask a question. Please someone give me the link that allows me to ask a question on WordPress Widgets. Meantime, I will place my question here: (I cannot give you the URL because the website has not been sent live yet). On the website, I have 1 blog (as you are only able to have 1 blog on a WP site) but have divided it into 2 categories (one is NEWS and one is RECIPES). It is infuriating that when I add a new NEWS post – it appears in the side bar – Recent Posts (which I want) but also appearing there are the posts I have added for RECIPES – (which I do not want!). Vice-versa: when I add a new RECIPES post – it appears in the side bar, Recent Posts (Which I want) but also appearing there are the posts I have added for NEWS. I need to segregate these and have only NEWS posts on the NEWS category side-bar and only RECIPES posts on the RECIPES category side-bar.

  • I have dyslexia and ADHD so it is very difficult for me to read ‘run on sentences’ and paragraphs that are overly long.

If you’ll try to add some ‘new lines’ and spaces I’ll try to read this later when I get back this evening.

I have enabled comments and have received comments under post, but the comment is not visible without having to click on ‘comments’. How do I make comments visible after the post, without needing to click on ‘comments’?
