@nwm2006 Thank you!
Notes are an interesting idea. How would this work exactly? Would it be just a general text field where any additional notes about the recipe can be written? Maybe things that are not exactly directions or ingredients? I can see something like this being displayed at the bottom of the recipe.
Notes are extra tips or steps to make the recipe better. It should be a list type with a unique class so we can modify its style in a way that suits our theme. It can be added in a new tab maybe with WYSIWYG editor and can be added by shortcode to the recipe template.

This seems like a reasonable feature to add. I have created an feature request. Maybe I can get this into a future release once ready

Just an update on this. The notes feature has been completed and will be added in the next upcoming release v1.8.2.

@nwm2006 The notes field has been added in the last version 1.8.3.
In order to display the Notes in your recipes you have to either add the [cooked-notes show_header=true] shortcode into the “Recipe Template” field. Anywhere you want, in my case I have it after the [cooked-directions] shortcode.
Or you can click the “Reset” button while editing the recipe to revert back to the original template that includes the [cooked-notes show_header=true] shortcode already.
After this you can click the “Save as Default” and then “Apply to All” buttons to apply the template to all of your recipes.
Now that you are making this plugin great again 🙂 can you also work on the recipe schema mark-up please! It’s old. Newer rich snippets make directions as Howtos and steps.

@nwm2006 Yeah I am actually currently working on that along with the new nutrition label changes. The FDA here in the USA has new guidelines since this feature was last updated: https://www.fda.gov/media/97999/download
