• I’m just another user pitching in to help, but I wanted to take a moment to say that I think the old timers here–our “developers” now renamed–since 1.5’s release have done an outstanding job keeping things from flying off the rails.

I’ve been in the trenches as well as at the higher levels of technical support and know how difficult it can be, especially when you’re not much more than a volunteer to the cause and the one thing keeping you going, appreciation and thank yous from users asking for help, sometime comes in very small portions.

I’d also like to say the same for those amongst the ranks of WordPress users who take the time, often day in and day out, to provide what help and information you can. Every bit you help helps WordPress, which not so ironically helps us all. And a special welcome aboard to the newer members (and some old ones newly returned) who’ve leapt into the fray. Over the years I’ve put in time on quite a number of support forums, and I find this bunch to be amongst the best of them.

Finally, my one word of advice: Never take it too seriously. This is supposed to be fun!

I got Root to weep. I must be better than I thought.

    “Sucking up, are you?”

Hey, how else am I to continue getting my WordPress upgrades for free?

What was that? They already ARE free, for everybody? Oh……

And you were suckered in by the ease of use, great features, and powerful capabilities…..willing to pay millions for such power and control over your site!

    Surprise!
