• If you don’t buy premium it isn’t worth the trouble. Also doesn’t work well with Atelier theme (icons will be displayed over eachother).

    Edit:

I think it’s not worth my trouble, since it doesn’t work well with the theme I use. The support is awesome and they don’t mind when you don’t like their plugin.

Thanks for your feedback, however I don’t think it’s justified.

With your first sentence (“If you don’t buy premium it isn’t worth the trouble”) you seem to imply that the features in the free one are so limited that it is of no use. The opposite is true – we packed so many features into the free plugin that the overwhelming majority of users doesn’t see any need to upgrade anymore. Please have a look at these recent reviews which specifically mention this:

    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/best-one-out-there-19/
    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/good-4200/

If you have different views, then please mention the specific features you would expect in a free plugin, which we don’t offer in the free version.

The real reason for your review however seems to be that it doesn’t work properly on your site. In this case:

    a) Make sure it’s actually an issue with the plugin, and not the theme, before you give the plugin a 1-star rating (and your comment suggests that you already know there is a conflict with the theme…)

    b) Raise that issue in the support forum (here https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/ultimate-social-media-icons). Not only do we provide a great plugin for free, but also a lot support for free. See for example these two cases where we provided guidance how to fix theme issues (even though our plugin wasn’t the culprit)

    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/subscribe-to-me-on-youtube-not-working/

Please review the above and respond. Thank you!

There you go guys, you earned yourself another star. I even edited my review!

“The real reason for your review however seems to be that it doesn’t work properly on your site. ”

Oh and please just accept that there are people who used your plugin and find out it isn’t the right one for them. Don’t try to say what I meant to say. It’s childish.

I simply needed some of the premium functions, of which I thought they whould be in the free version. But they were not, so that’s what I said. Or is the real reason for your reaction that all the premium functions are useless? 🙂

(That said, my first review could’ve been nicer. You guys probably worked hard for this plugin and I whish you the best. But this reaction of yours is ridiculous.)
