    Hey there,

First of all thank you for developing this plugin for Exchange.

Second, I installed it, and activated, but when trying to perform an import, I get the following error:

The iThemes Exchange – Product Importer plugin code created an error that caused PHP execution to fail.

The code tried to run a function that doesn’t exist (it_exchange_product_importer_fail_notices()). This type of error is typically caused by a simple typo (is_hom() rather than is_home()), by calling a function provided by a plugin when that plugin is not activated, by calling a function before it is ready (such as calling a function before the code that creates it has run), or by using a function that no longer exists (the function may have been removed from WordPress core or the plugin/theme that previously supplied it).

    Solutions

Invalid code modifications can cause this problem. If you have made any modifications to the plugin, remove them and try to load the site again.
It is possible that this plugin’s code is out of date and that an upgrade is available. Check with the plugin’s author to see if an upgrade is available.
There may be a conflict with another plugin running on the site. Try upgrading the other plugins on the site. A plugin conflict can be ruled out by deactivating all the other active plugins on the site and checking to see if the error still occurs.
The iThemes Exchange – Product Importer plugin may not have been fully uploaded. Uploading the plugin again could fix the issue. Important: If you do this, you will lose any modifications made to the plugin.

Do you have any clue on this?

    thank you again!

Hi guaser, I’m in talks with the iThemes team to understand whether they want to fill this space, otherwise we’ll maintain a free version only and I’ll move the Pro features I’ve been working on into this free Plugin.

Right now our priority is towards maintaining the WooCommerce release, I’ll get that issue resolved in a minor Plugin update. 🙂

    Hi Michael,

I encounter the same Fatal Error as guaser. I contacted iThemes Support and this is what they said…

Unfortunately, we don’t currently have any import options in Exchange. And that third-party add-on is typically what we recommend…

    Thanks,
    Elise

I need to upload 200 products to a new commerce site – this is the first time I’ve tried Exchange – so I’d be so grateful if this plugin could do the job.

    Thanks a bunch!!

I love Ithemes, but it’s crazy that an e-commerce does not have any “mass-import” addon, function etc… Sad, but I moved on.

Thank you for your help and interest Michael Visser!

    Good luck codinggecko!

Hi codinggecko, good to know, thanks for providing that. I’ll be releasing a Plugin update to fix the above issue this week, I guess I’ll keep maintaining this Plugin if it’s helping others 🙂

Many, many thanks, Michael! I too use other iThemes products, and it seems like a serious oversight for them not to include this feature. I so appreciate your willingness to continue maintaining!

How is the update for the iThemes Product Importer coming? I’m not seeing a plugin update in my admin panel yet.

    Thanks Michael!!
