Support » Plugin: External Links - nofollow, noopener & new window » Not working with the burger menu on Mobiles

  • A lot of themes convert the main menu into the 3 lines on the mobile for users to tap and it then expands to the full menu. The 3 lines looks like a burger and is usually on the top left or right of the mobile screen.

    With this plugin enabled, the moment a user taps this menu it opens a new tab of the home screen and it keeps going. It does not expand the menu.

    Is there a work around for this problem?

  • Extension of above thread :

    Theme we are using has ‘a’ tag assigned to the mobile menu icon without any class assigned with href=”#” but it does have a ID assigned to it.

    Your plugin allows exception only for class and not for Ids nor its based on href URLs (Internal Links) because of which we cannot make a exception for menu ‘a tag’.

    A sample structure of the menu icon

    <div class="something">
    <a href="#" id="menuIcon">
    </div>

    After enabling the plugin

    <div class="something">
    <a href="#" id="menuIcon" target="_blank">
    </div>
