Not working with MULTISITE and NGINX
-
For some reason the plugin does not work correctly when used on a WP Multisite hosted on an Nginx server (without Apache)
The problem is that with Nginx a switch is done from the www to non-www for these post types. And that is resulting in a redirect loop.
Is that something that can be fixed? Let me know if you need more information!

Hello,
please create subdomain on your website and send me FTP credentials to [redacted]
You can leave it as empty folder, I will install clean WP and use external database, so you don’t have to create one.

@kubiq I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.
https://wordpress.org/support/guidelines/#the-bad-stuff
Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.
If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.
Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us escalating this to the plugins team.
It’s never necessary to do that. Here’s why.
There are many ways to get information you need and accessing the user’s site is not one of them. That’s going too far.
- Ask for a link to the http://pastebin.com/ log of the user’s web server error log.
- Ask the user to create and post a link to their
phpinfo();
output. - Ask the user to install the Health Check plugin and get the data that way.
- Walk the user through enabling WP_DEBUG and how to log that output to a file and how to share that file.
- Walk the user through basic troubleshooting steps such and disabling all other plugins, clear their cache and cookies and try again.
- Ask the user for the step-by-step on how they can reproduce the problem.
You get the idea.
Volunteer support is not easy. But these forums need to a safe place for all users, experienced or new. Accessing their system that way is a short cut that will get you into real trouble in these forums.

Side note to @glamhugo Please under no circumstances permit anyone access to your site. That’s amazingly unsafe. This includes the plugin author and any sub-domain and especially FTP access.
https://wordpress.org/support/guidelines/#the-bad-stuff
Plugin author who chose not to comply with the forum guidelines need to evaluate if they want to continue having their code remain on WordPress.ORG.
@kubiq Please head to the #forums channel on Slack if this remains unclear to you. I am completely sure you mean well but you walked through a very important thing here in the forums and that can’t continue.
After email consultation with plugins@wordpress.org I was told, that I can create my own support forum and continue there, so:
@glamhugo Please create support thread on our forum for further assistance.
https://support.kubiq.sk/Hope it is ok now @jdembowski and @sterndata, thanks 😉
If you’d like to create a new support topic under https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/remove-cpt-base/ directing folks to the support forums, we can help you with pinning and closing it so it’s more noticeable for folks.
@macmanx yes please 🙂
Should I create it and write there something, or you will do it?@kubiq You can create your own sticky post here.
https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/remove-cpt-base/#new-post
Once you’ve created that post, you can click the stick this topic link. The post will get closed immediately after that.
Please be aware that while you may support your plugin where ever you wish, walking around the rule for accessing a user’s site isn’t allowed.
If that’s too far a condition for you then please send another email to the plugins and have your plugins removed from this site. Then you can do what you want.
ok, thanks @jdembowski , it’s created, but I can not sticky it, you have to approve it firstly
You’re all set now. 🙂
