Doesn’t work with Weaver II either.

Just tried to get this working myself but no joy.

Hi, I am using Worpress version 3.8.
I am using the Customizr theme and it works. In my WordPress -> wp-content -> plugins directory I have installed the child themify plugin. This plugin is now displayed in the Plugins -> Installed Plugins. I have also checked my server to see if the plugin is actually installed there, it is. In Worpress I then activated the child themify plugin. However in Worpress -> Appearance -> themes -> Customizr theme, the plugin is not listed in the options on the left-hand side menu of the theme options. Can you clarify if this is a bug or compatibility issue, or if there is something I have omitted to do? In WordPress 3.8 each theme no longer displays links (like older versions of WordPress). I would appreciate a reply and any assistance. Thanks.

    Hi kevjon,

The plugin was indeed incompatible with WP 3.8. I released an update today that fixes the plugin so it works with 3.8 now. Could you please test again to see if you can reproduce the bug with the newer version (1.0.2)?

    Thanks!

    It works fine now.
By the way, your update does not appear in the dashboard, we have to delete it and then install it again.

Thanks! I will look into the updater issue you’ve described…

I solved the problem of ‘no links to create child theme’ in a different way=>.

I am using Customizr with WP 3.8.1. I have discovered that in using the Child Themify plugin, that the ‘Create a Child Theme’ button does not appear under each theme on the Themes page unless I have at least one other theme installed.

So, once you have activated the theme of your choice, DO NOT delete ALL of the other themes. Leave one extra theme in the Theme library. That being the case, you can then click on the ‘Theme Details’ button of the activated Theme and the Child Themify plugin button, ‘Create a Child Theme’, will appear at the bottom of the Theme Details page with the other theme detail option buttons.

I preserved the 2014 Theme, I did not test whether this problem was theme specific to Customizr.

    I hope this helps.
