Support » Plugin: Responsive Lightbox & Gallery » Not working when images do not have file extensions

  • This is odd, and I hope there’s an easy solution.

    Basically, we are pulling in images through an API which works just fine, but, these images do not have file extensions. For example:

    <a href="https://example.com/api/images/50271/1200" rel="lightbox">
        <img src="https://example.com/api/images/50271/378" />
    </a>

    The problem is when we click on an image instead of the larger version opening in the lightbox, it just opens the image on a page by itself. In other words, it just goes to the URL https://example.com/api/images/50271/1200

    If we manually append .jpg to the image paths like this…

    <a href="https://example.com/api/images/50271/1200.jpg" rel="lightbox">
        <img src="https://example.com/api/images/50271/378.jpg" />
    </a>

    …it works, except the images returned are much smaller (about half the size) because the API wasn’t designed to work in that way.

    So we really need the plugin to support images in the lightbox when there are no file extensions present. Is this possible?

    We are using the TosRUs lightbox.

    Thanks in advance.
