• We are using free version of the plugin to play our radio stream. It works on IE, Chrome, Android but it does not on iPhone (Safari). What can be the reason for such a behaviour?

    Hello,
it doesn’t tell me anything. It’s working here. I am just on my laptop using Chrome (Win XP on my laptop) listening to it. I just checked my Samsung phone (Android) and it is working there. Why is Safari not responding? Can you explain in other words what seems to be the matter?

Hi, I have the same problem, but I don’t understand what the fix is from above details. Could I get a clearer explanation please?

    Well, I have googled it.
It’s a problem with old versions of Shoutcast (1.9). The shoutcast stream doesn’t have proper HTTP headers. The web browser has to guess it. As content type is missing, the browser thinks that the web server is using HTTP/0.9 running on the non-default port and therefore it is sandboxed. The workaround to this currently would be to have streams only on port 80, with different IP per stream, but it is advised to upgrade to Shoutcast v2.

    Hi there,
@jfk65 Thank you for your research. Indeed updating Shoutcast is the best solution.

Thanks for the info….and research. Appreciate it.
