 * I have two type of custom posts, one is “products” and other is “portfolio”

   When i add META data in “products” post it is working fine but when i add the
   META data in “portfolio” posts and update the page it disappears. I have the “
   portfolio” custom post option enabled in the plugin “custom post type settings”
   and “Display settings” I’m not sure why is it not saving the META data for portfolio
   posts.

 * groundfalling,
 * What’s your theme, and are you using a plugin to create this “portfolio” post
   type? I typically troubleshoot these issues by temporarily disabling any plugins
   that may be conflicting on the Edit Posts screen, and/or changing the theme.
   It also doesn’t hurt to have a backup of your site and the means to restore it
   as well, just in case.

 * I’m using EWA theme. But i have figured out that it is saving the meta data but
   it does not show it when you are editing the post. All the META fields are shown
   blank.

 * groundfalling,
 * I see this is a theme from ThemeForest, and the Portfolio post type is in the
   theme. This is generally a bad idea because it tends to lock you into the theme,
   unless they’re exposing that functionality as a plugin. I’d suggest upgrading
   to the latest version of the theme to see if this issue still appears. And if
   it does, try testing against one of the default themes that come with WordPress,
   such as Twenty Twelve or Twenty Eleven, to the extent that you can; if you see
   no issues there, I’d suggest contacting the author of the theme, if possible.
