Also does not work for specific variations
Hi @bradbrad ,
Could you please make a screen recording of the backend gift coupon settings and the frontend behavior on your site so that we can reproduce the settings on our dev site?
If possible, please provide us with your published product link and the gift code to check from our end here.
Possibly, our plugin is not fully compatible with some block-based themes or templates. You might want to check back with a theme that uses the classic editor to be sure.
Best regards.
Where can I email the video too?
1. You can see it on your own demo site: https://demo.wpclever.net/wpcfg/
– add a product to cart.
– go to checkout here https://demo.wpclever.net/wpcfg/checkout/ and enter the code. Doesnt show the products.
2. Your plugin doesnt work at all with product variations. For example, I selected 2 simple products, and 4 variations (the 50ml versions of the variable products). You can see here: https://paste.pics/81c96dd6e6ec8560aa1ab7024decadd2
But when entering the code at checkout, ONLY the simple products display: https://paste.pics/015a5045421b61e412f1934f72e06a80
If I select the variable product (not a individual variation), it shows in the free gifts section, but you cant add it to the cart.
Hi @bradbrad ,
I have consulted with our developers about your question. Indeed, our plugin is supposed to work on the cart page only. The gifts can be added to the cart first before they can officially be added to the checkout page.
There is another plugin from our team that allows people to add products to the order on the checkout page. You might want to give it a try: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpc-smart-upsell-funnel/
Best regards.
I also tested further on the gift issue, on our dev site, the coupon grants one of the 3 items as a gift: a simple product, a variation item, and a variable product.
All of them appeared properly after entering the coupon: https://prnt.sc/20QsPLpFamDJ. I can confirm that our plugin works properly with simple products, variations and variable products.
If you want to debug further, you can kindly take the following steps:
- Deactivate all other plugins, except WooCommerce and our WPC plugins. Check the functionality to see if it’s working or not.
- Reactivate other plugins one by one to find the source of the conflict.
- Change to our WPCstore theme or any other WooCommerce specialized theme to check.
Best regards.
