Hi,
i had the same issue at the start. Try to clear the plugin cache here:

Nice plugin btw!

@verhijden I was just checking the page and you’ve replied.
What did you do? Did you miss one of the settings (e.g. the review limit or show/hide reviews in the Widget)?
And thanks for the review too!
All the best,
Noah
@verhijden @tzwick Generally, please try clearing the Cache in the plugin’s settings under the Advanced tab. I am looking to improve the performance when changes are being made (e.g. No Place ID to a Place ID and Demo to Not Demo), so all details are very helpful! π
And thank you both for the β

reviews!
@verhijden For the widget in the footer, I recommend adding this in the Styling (in Advanced tab) for narrow columns:
.footer-widget .google-business-reviews-rating .rating .count {
display: block;
margin: 0;
}
.footer-widget .google-business-reviews-rating p {
padding: 0;
}
@verhijden In version 2.8, there’s a new Narrow theme – just apply this and it will look better when the widget or shortcode is included in 3 or 4 column layouts.
@noah, I just cleared the cache. And the problem was solved π
@verhijden Did you have Demo mode enabled before this? I have checked my code and found something that could be causing it not to refresh properly when the switch is made.
@designextreme I did not use the demo mode.
I had some troubles with the API key on Google side. I needed to restrict it. At first it worked, then not, then it worked again ( a few times). And then the FE did not show anything.
But the cache clearing IN YOUR PLUGIN did do the job. Not the general cache (WP-ROCKET) that had no influence.
Thanks @verhijden, it’s helpful to know the details.
I have been writing something to flush the cache more frequently during the setup stages to avoid having to use the “Flush Cache” button. It should be ready in the next version or so.
@verhijden Please update to Version 2.8 (or current) as I’ve added support for narrow columns in the form of the Narrow Theme. Enjoy! π
