Support » Plugin: Contact Form 7 » not working in firefox and mac safari

  • We have multiple contact forms on website, and those are working fine in Chroem browser without any issues, but in Mozilla firefox or Safari browser, they are acting strange in following way:

    1. Validations are not working, while they work fine on chrome.
    2. After submitting the form, we are getting emails, but no success message is shown and the arrows keeps spinning there.

    We tried to debug things at our end and fund that in Contact Form 7’s script.js file code written as:
    var ajaxSuccess = function( data, status, xhr, $form ) {

    is having value of data parameter is null, while in chrome we are getting value as json string and it should be fine.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Actually this is live site, so I cant disable plugins or switch themes , and in my case it’s working on chrome, so if it was some plugin or theme issue I had issue in all browsers, also even if when I submit it in Firefox, I am getting email for form submission, so the FAQ article doesn’t apply to my situation

    Please check debugger output screenshot in

    Chrome Browser

    and in
    Firefox Browser

    So the data doesn’t have any value in firefox and thats the reason, validations and mail sent event are not working in firefox. Just posting in case if that helps because it doesn’t seem any plugin conflict or theme issue.

    so if it was some plugin or theme issue I had issue in all browsers

    That’s absolutely not true for JavaScript issues. It’s common for JavaScript problems to show on only some browsers.

    As Takayuki indicated your likely have a JavaScript Conflict on your theme or one of the plugins you are using. The JavaScript is crashing on the problem item and preventing Contact Form 7’s JavaScript from running.

    Actually this is live site, so I cant disable plugins or switch themes

    That’s one reason many professional WordPress users have a development copy of each website they deploy. It’s a great help when trying to solve these sort of issues.
