Support » Plugin: User Session Synchronizer » not working in Chrome

    Hi,

we use this almost a year and didn’t hear of problems until now, with reports that it won’t work with Chrome browser users (only). After login on site 1, they go to sites 2 or 3 and from there are asked to return to site 1 to login.

Our version is 1.3.82 and WP version is 5.2.7. It’s a very complex site and we do updates only when really needed, so that everything keeps working together nicely.

So my question is: do you know about this issue, and do you perhaps know it’s solved in the latest version? (changelog doesn’t mention the latest version)

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello PetrP

    Thank you for the feedback.

Do you see anything unusual in the Chrome Console?

Hi, I believe you got it right:

A cookie associated with a cross-site resource at http://google.com/ was set without the SameSite attribute. It has been blocked, as Chrome now only delivers cookies with cross-site requests if they are set with SameSite=None and Secure. You can review cookies in developer tools under Application>Storage>Cookies and see more details at https://www.chromestatus.com/feature/5088147346030592 and https://www.chromestatus.com/feature/5633521622188032.

But now what to do??? πŸ™‚ Any experience with this? Thanks!

Sorry I suggested you to contact us via our online form but apparently the post was moderated and removed.

I am glad to hear that you have solved the issue. In case someone ask the same question, may I ask what was wrong with the Chrome session?

I got here because I was worried it didn’t work with Chrome. I’ve just tested (2020-08-29) with Chrome 84.0.4 and it does work.
