Hi @martinsauter
I’ve just checked the behaviour of the public checkbox and it seems to work fine in my example setup: https://streamable.com/070jx9
Is this what you try to do (as seen in my video)?
Could you deactivate all other plugins you use and switch to a default WP theme, just to check if anything disrupts the plugin?
Greetings Felix
Hi Felix
Thank you for your reply. What you demonstrate in your video is exactly what I tried to do. And after some tests I have to admit that it was not the fault of your plug-in, but a caching issue.
What still does not work as expected is that when I create a new post, no status is assigned by default. So when you forget to set the status manually, the post is no longer accessible in the posts list.

Hi @welly2103
Can you confirm that your plugin does not set the «draft» status by default when a user creates a new post?
This is really an issue for our authors.
Kind regards,
Martin
Hi @martinsauter
sorry for the late answer. That is actually right, I’ll have a deeper look into this issue and will come back to this thread whenever there is an update.

Hi @martinsauter
I just release version 1.0.15 and hope this version will fix this issue. Please come back to this thread if you are still experiencing this error!
Greetings Felix
Hi @welly2103
The new release fixes the bug that new posts kind of disappear if you forget to set a status.
However, there are still some details:
When you create a new post, the status field says «Select status» instead of «Draft» (which is the standard behaviour of WordPress).
When you create a new post and publish it directly, the status remains «Draft» instead of «Published» (which again is the standard behaviour of WordPress).
