• With a clean WordPress installation i could recreate the problem. The plugin disables the registration WordPress settings so new registrations are not possible. Support forum is dead so this one is worthless.

No, you just misconfigured it or had a plugin conflict.

    Support forum is dead

No again. As it says in the sticky note at the top of the support forum here: “The official community forum for s2Member® can be found @ forums.wpsharks.com.” You will see that that is actually rather active.

“No, you just misconfigured it or had a plugin conflict.”

I don’t know who this person is but most likely associated with this plugin. This person is aware that I did a clean wordpress installation and is also aware this plugin failed to work without any plugins activated. That’s why it’s called a clean wordpress installation 🙂

I strongly doubt its a matter of misconfiguration.

“No again. As it says in the sticky note at the top of the support forum here: “The official community forum for s2Member® can be found @ forums.wpsharks.com.” – No this person is claiming I’m active on another forum which is not true see : https://forums.wpsharks.com/t/anyone-can-register-is-disabled-by-s2member-plugin/2886

KTS915, mind your own business or if you are associated with this plugin. I recommend not to discredit my experience with this plugin because you only discredit the plugin even more.

Be honest and stop being in denial.

A clean installation is not the same thing as configuring the plugin correctly. And no, I’m not associated with s2Member. But I have been using it for years and continue to do so. So it is bizarre to see someone claim that it “disables the registration WordPress settings so new registrations are not possible.” That is simply not true.

I have no problem with those who report their own experience. I do have a problem with those who make blanket statements based on their own experience, especially when those statements are plainly not true. How on earth do 30,000+ users of the plugin use it if no-one can register?

With a clean installation you know for sure you can option out conflicts with themes or plugins.

It’s configured perfectly. The plugin disables and overrules the WordPress setting. Conclusion, no new registration is possible.

    “That is simply not true,”
you don’t know (well you know, I’ve shared screenshots).

    “I’m not associated with s2Member,”
I think you’re lying. You are so emotionally involved with this. You even stalk me here.

However, i’ve solved this problem. Click, Click and delete plugin and I found a great alternative.

Stalk you? I just saw a review here and read it. I hadn’t a clue who you were. (You didn’t use the same name in the other forum.)

So you’ve resorted to calling me a liar when (a) you haven’t a clue and (b) you’re wrong. Enough said.
