    Hi,

    first: thanks a lot for sharing your plugin for free! but it doesn’t work correctyl anymore:

    If i share a youtube or vimeo video post of my blog on facebook, it doesn’t get played inline in the facebook stream.

    it is reconned as a video with a play symbol overlay over the thumb, but when i click the play symbol, my blogpost is opened in a new tab instead of the video being played back.

    any idea what’s the problem here?

    i tried a lot of tweaks on your plugin code, so that the og meta tags are similar to the ones youtube uses, but i didn’t manage to make it work again. the things i tried:

    – change the og:video content to http://www.youtube.com/v/s3D9oCH4zsc?autohide=1&version=3.
    – added og:type content video.
    – added

    <meta property="og:video:type" content="application/x-shockwave-flash">
<meta property="og:video:width" content="640">
<meta property="og:video:height" content="480">

    Hello,

    Thanks for letting us know.

    After checking our facebook pages, it seems that videos aren’t playing directly on Facebook pages. Facebook probably did some changes on their newsfeed features. Let me dig around and check Facebook’s Developers blogs for any official announcements from them.

    As far as this wordpress plugin goes, it’s not really “broken”. in fact, it can increase your blogs’ traffic this way…

    and this could either be Facebook or even Youtube (Google) decision to prevent the playback within FB platform…

    After checking again, it still works. so no urgent need to modify the plugin just yet… 🙂

    The problem I see is that if you are in HTTPs of facebook and Youtube’s script from http:// is added which means a mix of unsecured http is requested which means it wont load the resources then.
