Could you send over a list of plugins you use on the site in question?
If you switch to a default WordPress theme, is the problem resolved? Also, did this plugin work previously, and has something changed recently on your site?

This is my first time using this plugin, and the switcher doesn’t seem to work with me.
Theme: Default 2014
Plugins: none
Wordpress: 4.2.2 (Clean install, no posts or pages)
In my wp-config.php I have:
define(‘WPLANG’,’zh_CN’);
I see the language switcher in my admin, but when I select english, it just snaps back to chinese. Am I doing something wrong?
it does not work for me either and indeed it screwed up all my site
and now I cant even post a new post or edit anything.
my site is in arabic and so it is a RTL language.
now the admin is neither in english nor in arabic so the CSS is totally screwed up.
I tried to manually install wp-admin and wp-includes but no success.
please I need urgent help

You should remove WPLANG from wp-config.php, it is deprecated. See:
