    I loved this plugin but now I’m having issues.

    Issue #1 – Email Not Recognized

    I have UpdraftPlus Installed on two sites. On one it recognizes the correct email to send back ups. But on another site it not only does not recognize my email. It just says backups will be sent to ( I don’t have an email that is admin@mydomain Instead of sending it to the WP admin email as it should. The other site has the correct email. Unless I missed it somewhere, there is no way to change the email in Updraft.

    Issue#2 – Backup Are Now Failing On Both Sites

    Suddenly the back ups keep getting a “zip error” Since the email is wrong on one site I decided to send backups to Dropbox and/or Amazon S3. Zip errors again.
    YES I have authenticated Dropbox. Updraft also says it has been authenticated. I did a backup to Dropbox before with no problems. Now it no longer works. The same with Amazon S3. I keep getting the same Zip error

    I noticed there is a warning once a file is sent to email that says
    “Warning backup may fail due to size limitations of most email accounts” That’s not verbatim but pretty close. So why even offer that option? Seems counter productive.

    For now I’ll have to find another back up solution. I don’t mind purchasing premium versions of plug ins. But I’m not likely to do so when the free version “appears to be buggy”

    #1 – UD obtains the email address to use from your WordPress settings, in Settings -> General.

    #2 – you’ll need to post the log file (use for me to say anything useful.

    Yes I’m aware of where UD should get the email address. My email address is listed in the Settings>General on both sites. For whatever reason UD doesn’t recognize it on one of the sites.

    Thanks for answering it’s appreciated. I’ll mark this resolved only because I’ve already installed an another back up plugin. I just don’t have a lot of time to go back and forth. Will give UD another try in the future.

    Hi David,

    With the WP update to 3.8.1 I decided to go back and try to get your plugin to work again. Honestly I do like the plugin and while the other plugin I installed worked. It does lack a lot of extra features I had with UD. So I deactivated, uninstalled UD and did a new install after I updated to 3.8.1.

    Good news!
    It’s working fine again!

    David, thanks for your patience and your persistence. I’m planning to upgrade to the premium version shortly.
