• Hi,

I get this error when clicking on the “TEST CACHE”-Tab:

‘Page caching seems not working for both dynamic and static pages.

Error on dynamic page (https://name-of-my-mysite.com/en): Seem that your website is not behind Cloudflare. If you have recently enabled the cache or it is your first test, wait about 30 seconds and try again because the changes take a few seconds for Cloudflare to propagate them on the web. If the error persists, request support for a detailed check.

Error on static resource (https://name-of-my-mysite.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-cloudflare-page-cache/assets/testcache.html): Seem that your website is not behind Cloudflare. If you have recently enabled the cache or it is your first test, wait about 30 seconds and try again because the changes take a few seconds for Cloudflare to propagate them on the web. If the error persists, request support for a detailed check.

Please check if the page caching is working by yourself by surfing the website in incognito mode ’cause sometimes Cloudflare bypass the cache for cURL requests. Reload a page two or three times. If you see the response header cf-cache-status: HIT, the page caching is working well.’

Do you know what might be the problem here?

Please share your website URL in order for me to take a deeper look. Without that, I have no way to know what’s causing this problem.

    Hi Saumya,

I have a clone of my site where I installed your plugin and connected it to my cloudflare account. Can I send you the admin-credentials via mail?

    Greetings

I don’t need the admin credential for now. Just share the website URL. If you are having the same problem here then it would lead to the same cause.

Alternatively, if you do not like to share your site URL here, you can use https://safenote.co/ to share the data which will auto destruct after a few days.

I don’t run the plugin on my live site as long it is not working (properly). The clone is for SEO-reasons on maintenance mode, so you can’t see anything without the credentials.

I have sent you the safenote-link to care@acnam.com

    Thanks!

I don’t think your dev site is being served though Cloudflare as I do not see any specific response header added by Cloudflare: https://i.imgur.com/rSmX0AQ.jpeg

Also unfortunately in this w3ay I would never be able to check, when loggedin the cache will always be BYPASS. So, I would suggest you to properly implement the plugin on your live site and then if things doesn’t work, then share your site URL so that I can check further or else share the screenshot of the response headers.

Okay, what can be the reason for this? Is there some kind of step-by-step-guide I can follow to get things finally done?

On the live-site the plugin is implemented as on the clone-site. I activated the plugin now on the live-site as well. Still no difference, it’s not working. You can have a look, if you change the word “sandbox” for “en” in the url.

I could give you the credentials to our cloudflare-account. I don’t mind. I just want the cdn to be working asap.

From what I can see the domain is not even pointing to Cloudflare nameserver: https://i.imgur.com/HnGgnbX.jpeg

Okay, the problem is probably the dns-records / nameservers. I haven’t even touched that area, because my site on which I am using your plugin and cloudflare is not in the root-domain. It is in a subdirectory, because it’s aiming for a different language-group than the site in the root (www.mysite.de/en/ vs. http://www.mysite.de). But how can I configure the nameservers without messing with my main-site in the root?

    – Not possible. Nameserver is for the whole domain. You need to put the DNS of your whole domain in Cloudflare and point your nameserver to cloudflare. but then you may install this plugin in some of your sub directory or subdomain site.

    (@joehann)

Okay, I see. So let’s say I do point our nameserver to cloudflare. In what way would that affect my site on the root-level if I don’t do there anything more? So I don’t install your plugin on the root level site and keep it going with Autoptimite & WP Fastest Cache. Would that hurt my main site in the root level? Would it even keep functioning rightly?

When you point your site to Cloudflare, in your main root site only the static files like CSS, js, and images will be served via Cloudflare CDN, while your origin server will serve the main pages.
