Not upload through WordPress media

Hey I was wondering if I do something wrong or not but it seems the plugin only scans for the images that are upload through the WordPress media uploader and not other upload methods on the site like a normal browse upload. Also when you upload pictures through ftp client it doesn’t pick them up in the scan.
