Click tracking not working

    Hi there,

    I am trying to get a click event to register when submits the form on my website. I have tried creating 3 different events as a way to troubleshoot but no matter what I add, it doesn’t track the event.

    Upon inspecting the page I created the following click events in the WP GA Events click tracking options:
    id submit-subscribe (this is the main one that should work but tried the other 2 as part of troubleshooting)
    id submitButton
    class cmp-subscribe -subscribed -subscribe-successful

    All of these events have
    Category – CTA
    Event Action – Click
    Event Label – Subscribe

    Any advice on how to get this working?

    FYI because the website is a simple landing page, we implemented it using a “coming soon” plugin called CMP – Coming Soon & Maintenance Plugin by NiteoThemes. Additional context in case it helps.

    Did you remove the plugin since posting?
    I can’t see the frontend code on the page.

    Hi Yuval,

    The plugin is still enabled on the website. Could it be conflicting with our theme, or the Coming Soon plugin we’re using (CMP – Coming Soon & Maintenance Plugin)?

    I also have the same situation, I administer the site https://www.suissecasinoenligne.com/articles/ and my click tracking doesn’t work either! It is very difficult to find such information on the forums, I will be glad if someone still manages to do it and he will share this information with us! Thank you very much!

    @khannamanu – yes, it’s the CMP – Coming Soon & Maintenance Plugin. It seems like it strips out everything other than itself.

    @morelcalvet,

    In your case, this could be related to caching. Can you try to purge all the caches and try again?
