Using Pixel Manager with GA4 but I noticed that not all purchases are being tracked in Analytics. Any suggestions for where to start troubleshooting this?

    Hi

The free version of the Pixel Manager only uses the browser tracking pixel to track purchases.

Now, two reasons can explain why not all purchases are tracked in GA4.

    1. Some visitors use ad blockers in their browsers. Ad blockers also block purchase events.

    2. You use payment gateways that don’t always redirect the buyer to the purchase confirmation page, where the purchase event is tracked.

In the free version, you can’t do anything about 1.

About 2. you can take a look at the Payment Gateway Accuracy report: here
It will show you if one or more payment gateways are causing any troubles and fix them.

If all payment gateway work correctly, the free version tracks approximately 96% of all purchases (slightly off because of 1.)

The pro version uses a server-to-server messaging protocol to report purchase conversions to GA4. It is much more accurate and normally captures 100% of all purchases. But not all tracking pixels can use the server-to-server protocol. For those, the Pixel Manager pro version also comes with the Automatic Conversion Recovery feature. On average, it helps automatically recover 50% of all lost conversions due to issues with payment gateways.

Let us know if that info helps.

    Kind regards
    Aleksandar
