• To see how NOT easy this is, go to http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/easy-contact-forms/faq/ and look at items four and five. #2 of four is “Field list – this is a container, which is similar to the field set except it does not show a frame around the field groups and has an extra option allowing selecting the list label style: h1, h2, etc.”

A search at w3schools for “field list” turns up nothing, nor “fieldlist”.

I’ve been searching google, wp.org, and ECF support for clues (for several hours) about how to change label size and bg color of my form, but to no avail. There is nothing easy about this.

At http://wordpress.org/support/topic/easy-contact-forms-looks-great-but-doesnt-work?replies=13 I found “Go into the master css file, which is located in
    wp-content> plugins>Easy-contact-forms>forms>styles>formscompressed>css>st

“Open that CSS and add font size and colour to the 3 label tags, as I did here…” which, at first, seemed it may help but where the heck is the wp-content? I think that’s on my host, right, and not in ECF files?

How can a form maker be EAsY if you must follow the path, wp-content> plugins>Easy-contact-forms>forms>styles>formscompressed>css>st?

Or maybe I’m a dork and need to be un-ignorated.

I’m going to try something else. Something simpler. Something with support…If I can find a form maker like that. Perhaps I ask too much by wanting to be able to simply control label size and background color. I don’t know.

    Brilliant ideas welcome and appreciated!

    peace & love

  • I am a total rooky, and I mean rooky. Just made my first website, my first template and still needed a contactform.

My form was ready in just a few minutes. It automaticly adapts to the layout of my template, which is simply awesome. So why change background colours? Just make sure your template is okay.

About the size: At first I thought it was to good to be true, I made a beautifull responsive template but the form was the only thing that didn’t adapt its size. I send a mail to the developers and 30 min later I had a step by step reply how to fix it.
After fixing it (which took no more than 1 minute) I understood that I just overlooked some settings.

Guess that’s probably what you did.
