Hi @jcothethird Can you please elaborate? I don’t think WordPress forces or requires anyone to post a review nor redirects you from another website…
ps. also flagging for WordPress moderators to take a look, in-case there is some issue going on…

Sounds like a UX issue @shareaholic

@anevins Thanks for taking a look. Plugin does not require posting reviews and notices are dismissable (forever). We would be getting a flood of these if it were the case. The UX is straightforward. Nor does WordPress.org force anyone to post a review in order to proceed to other websites… The review is perplexing… Hope @jcothethird responds with additional info. The 1-star hurts!

Maybe the user has a JS error where the notice does not disappear and the notice is nagging the user. Like you said we’ll see what the user comes back with, but this is feedback and someone had a poor experience – that’s the bit that should hurt, not the 1 star rating.
Code is regular PHP / WordPress. So that hypothesis is possible, but unlikely. If it were the case, it would likely affect all their notices.

I wanted to go to another website but was required to review here. Waste of time
That got my complete attention. What exactly do you mean “but was required to review here”?
I THINK OP means “I wanted to leave a 1 star review, but had to do it here on wp.org and I didn’t want to have to post here.” Could be wrong…
Hope @jcothethird responds with additional info to solve this mystery 🙂
