Not Sure What Happened to WP Theme? (2 posts)

Basically quite a while back a friend of my installed a blog theme (maybe hacked) awhile back here at http://www.DasCheap.com/costumes/home.html

You can see the link for the WP blog at the bottom footer where it says blog in the image (so at least you know it's linked throughout the site, and basically I think that the person who was in charge installed a hacked theme.

My question is that we had some good traffic to it, and all of a sudden it seems to get very little (almost none). Content is pretty regular and clean. Can someone suggest any way to find malicious code (if any) in the theme just by looking at source or perhaps the best SEO plugin that is result driven?

I feel like all of our work is pretty toasted.

    Thanks in advance!

First tell your web host you think your site was hacked and ask for help. (If it's low-cost hosting they should provide a bit of support. If it's high-cost hosting they might fix it for you.)

Then, follow the instructions in articles like this http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_My_site_was_hacked and http://www.jtpratt.com/how-to-fix-a-hacked-wordpress-blog/.

This is a good plugin that might be able to find the exploit: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordfence/.

Or instead, hire a pro like http://sucuri.net/.

For SEO, this is very good: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-seo/. But SEO won't improve your traffic if your site is hacked.
