• Interesting plugin for the extra fields that are required for a custom post.

    Hello @marcelolz

I find it odd that you would review our plugin on factors we never claim to provide.

As you can read from the plugin description our main focus is providing various content type for WordPress. Be it custom post types, taxonomies, table based etc. Plus we add numerous settings and fields for these content types.

Everything else is NOT the main focus of this plugin and is listed in the “Optional components to do even more”.
We integrate with multiple other free and premium themes to provide a solid solution for you the link your custom content types to.

    1. We never claim to allow you to create templates without any coding or knowledge of WordPress / HTML / PHP. This plugin doesn’t provide that since that would be a page builder.
    2. If you do not know how to code and work with GET parameters then getting the default value through a parameter won’t really be an option at all.
    3. See 1, we never claim to provide that but even still we DO provide free support to help you get started. However, we cannot do your work for you..
    4. Of course we will suggest other plugins for functionalities we don’t provide! We get a lot of people asking whether something is possible. The answer is yes, not but just with Pods. You need a combination of plugins.

    Also see this page: https://docs.pods.io/faqs/what-can-you-build-with-pods/

Again, Pods main focus is to extend WordPress with more content types and fields. What you do with that data is up to you and your project since every case is different.

I sincerely hope you would consider updating your review according to the plugin/product Pods actually is and claims to provide you since I don’t feel it’s fair to “judge” a product for something it isn’t intended for.

Despite of the above, if you need help with Pods in any way, don’t hesitate to ask for support!

    Cheers, Jory

Sorry if my bad English sounded like a criticism about what the plugin doesn’t do, I was trying to exactly warn users that they know nothing about programming so as not to expect them to do what they don’t.

    Hi @marcelolz

I totally understand that, but point is, we never claim to provide a 100% no programming solution so hence my reply.
Thank you for updating your review, we put a lot of work in this plugin! 🙂

    Cheers! Jory
