• I installed this and it just does not work.

All I wanted was a simple addition to the edit page/post where I could add a download button underneath an image that when clicked on it would download that picture to the users computer. This plugin will not do that.

When I do that all I get is this shortcode ‘[sdm_download id=”undefined” fancy=”0″]’, which obviously will not work. And when the page is published and the button is clicked this is the result:

A page comes up with this error message: Error! This download item (undefined) does not have any download link. Edit this item and specify a downloadable file URL for it.

There is no way to configure this in the edit/post page, none. It’s too much trouble to go to the download page in the administration and create categories and “add new” page and find the “slugs” and urls and all that crap. It’s not simple, it’s not convenient, it’s time consuming and confusing to use.

If you want something simple and easy to use, then this isn’t the plugin for you.

The video tutorial of the plugin shows you exactly how it works. If it doesn’t work that way then you likely have some kind of conflict somewhere.

The video tutorial is there for you to give you a good idea of how this plugin works before you use it (so there is no confusion). If you don’t like what is shown in the video then this plugin won’t work for you.
