not showing when users are logged in

The ‘Register’ and ‘Login’ links are still showing ‘Register’ and ‘Login’ even when a user is logged in. The comment form is still showing the name/email/website fields instead of ‘Logged in as…’ when a user is logged in. Have posted a topic before but haven’t gotten any ideas other than browser cacheing but this is happening to all site visitors. Need help, will post code if someone can help me figure it out. Thanks!!!
