Not showing updated Video Title

    Hello dear Frank,

    Hope you are doing well.

    I need a help. Recently, I had changed my YouTube Video title and its thumbnail too. I liked the way as Thumbnail automatically changed; but sad thing the old title is still showing.

    This is just happening on a single existing post which is very long content. But, when I drop the YouTube link in after creating new post or other existing post. Then, everything is okay.

    One thing, please note: I am adding video link by going to the text part-source code, not from visual editor. This is because, I don’t want to mess up with the formatting.

    I tried to clear Purge Cache, tested in incognito window and proxy browsers. Nothing change. Also, to cross verify I checked YouTube Video info translation part, there title is also okay according to the set language.

    Is it something where I making mistake?

    hi gulshan;
    wp youtube lyte has it’s own cache for the info from youtube. did you try ticking the “clear cache” option on lyte’s settings-page? if that does not work, you can always use this trick to visualise the cache on your edit post page.

    How are you?

    I am wondering why video/playlist are not updating automatically in the real time?

    After a long time, I am here. Recently I cleared cache again via plugin settings. But, the things went opposite. A playlist video thumbnail updated, but suddenly at my previous embedded video changed to the earlier state (As I had mentioned in the thread title)

    Right now, the main problem I am facing a similar issue with YouTube playlist and one video.
    There is a YouTuber who regularly updates his playlist which I have added to my blog.
    When a playlist creator updates video, automatically at my article the Playlist thumbnail is not updating in the real time.

    When a visitor clicks on Playlist, it plays new video, but before to the visitor it shows the last thumbnail of the playlist (According to the last time – when I had added the playlist or cleared the cache). Hence, it creates the misleading experience.

    Summary: In a playlist, the thumbnail is not updating and in video Title is not updating.

    Summary: In a playlist, the thumbnail is not updating and in video Title is not updating.

    that’s because the YouTube API response (with the thumbnail URL for a playlist and the title for a video) are cached by WP YouTube Lyte (in post_meta).
