I’ve done some fiddling in the inspector window in Firefox and come up with an explanation.
I changed the iframe width and height to 400px and it revealed this error message:
“Firefox Can’t Open This Page
To protect your security, http://www.facebook.com will not allow Firefox to display the page if another site has embedded it. To see this page, you need to open it in a new window.”
So what do I do for visitors using Firefox? Any help much appreciated as I am stuck 🙂
I’ve fixed it for my browser but couldn’t there be set dimensions of the iframe to display an instruction ‘If the content does not display check settings etc…’
In the standard security settings for the latest firefox (shows no version number so I can’t help there) I blocked only cookies from unvisited websites (previously it blocked cross-site tracking cookies. I’m not sure what the default is as I may have changed it myself previously.
Anyway, problem solved. Thank you!
It’s definitely related to the privacy/tracking protection feature of the Firefox. If you enable this Facebook Comments will not render.
Yesm this makes a lot of sense, thank you.
