not showing default or index page

    hello all

    i have just installed wordpress on my local pc.after setting everything right i uploaded all files on server root.when i logged in using default password it is not showing default page ,instead it is listing all pages in directory.also on accessing the site it is showing all pages in directory instead of index page.

    please help

    Maybe the default index it goes to is the index.html which is set to list all page available. Then you could rename it to index-old.html and the when you go to the root it will go to index.php.
    But if you have the same problem going to root/wp-admin it might be another server configuration issue.
