Not sending new post notifications

    Hello,

    Since January, the plugin is not sending new post notifications (yes, the campaing is active).

    Of my latest posts (screenshot), the last ones in generating a post notification were the ones dating December 28th.

    The other posts (from January 18th on) have not generated a notificacion properly. They appear as sent but I (myself subscribed) never received an email, and so do all the subscribers (the reports show that the apparently sent but in fact never-sent email has never been opened by none of them).

    PS: the only change I did, in March, was deleting all non-real subscribers (false names and emails). That’s why from 212 it went to 53 subs.

    To find what is exactly causing this issue, we need to debug it further.

    Can you please let us know if test emails are being correctly sent or not?
    You can refer to this documentation on how to send a test email in the Email Subscribers plugin.

    It says: “Could not instantiate mail function”.
    As I said, it worked fine until 2022

    Hello Ignacio,

    We have checked this issue at our end but couldn’t replicate it. Also, the test email seems to be sent without any issue. We have tested it with the latest version.

    Since you are getting Could not instantiate mail function. error while sending emails, we suspect it might be due to an issue with the hosting’s email sending functionality. In that case, other WordPress emails might also be facing a similar issue.

    Can you please let us know if other WordPress emails like password reset emails are working fine? Also, we think WP Test Email might be helpful in this case.

    Definitely it was a WP problem. I think I have solved it. I have sent a notification and I think it’s working fine now.
