I just installed this plugin to test it out, and I’m not seeing the grid calendar on the calendar page, I see this:

Events for December 2018 Events Search and Views Navigation Show Events Search Events Search Events In Search Event Views Navigation View As ListMonthDay There were no results found. Calendar of Events Calendar of Events Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday 26 27 28 29 30 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 Read more…

I’m assuming I have something set wrong? What did I do? Or is this a conflict? I have the GeoDirectory plugin and Supreme Directory theme (which is a child theme of Directory Starter, a GeoDirectory theme), if that helps…

My WP install is up to date.

    Hi Tina,

Thanks for reaching out and for trying out The Events Calendar 🙂

Seems like this could be a theme conflict. Let’s try two things to see if we can make it right:

    * Go to _WP Admin > Events > Settings > Display_ and change the value of _Events template_ setting. Re-save. See if the calendar is displayed correctly.

    * If the above doesn’t yield any results, try temporary changing the site theme for a default one like Twenty Seventeen theme. It will be good to know if this makes the calendar right.

    * If switching the theme doesn’t work, then it’s time to hit the Testing for conflicts guide.

Please let me know how that goes,
    Best,
    Nico

You are fast! Thank you!! Changing to default events template did the trick!! THANK YOU!!

Hm. OK so now I am able to see the grid view, but when I try to see the test event, I get an error message:

    Not Found
This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?

Switching to the twenty nineteen theme didn’t fix it.

Going to go try the conflicts guide now.

Ok nothing in that worked. I have only a couple plugins, it’s a brand new site I’m working on and still I’m getting the error page. With the default theme, and only the events plugin enabled. Still won’t show me the event I created. Just an error page.

ok scratch that. I figured it out. I had it set to today, and because I had fiddled with it for so long, the time had long since passed. It finally occurred to me to set it to tomorrow and now it shows.

Stocked to hear you are set now @sunflowermom 🙂

If an event is in the past it should show in the site, with the corresponding message that the event has passed. If you were getting a 404 error page, maybe it’s because permalinks needed to be updated?

If you still have issues managing events (creating, editing, display issues) please create a new topic and we will be glad to help as out as we can.

    Best,
    Nico
