had to correct our rating (like others, i sometimes forget the default stars is 5!) I would recommend paid memberships Pro (hands down!) instead. It is free. Or S2 free.
As we have with several of their plugins, Installed the “free” version.
the plugin had problems. No Support?
A nag bar/screen nags you to death – and their prices, for a plugin, are ridiculous.

I strongly suspect that some of the 5 star ratings are faked, or lets say, severely biased due to financial interest. (Same people giving same short “amazing” review on ALL. So we are leaving our own on the ones we tested/used)

    Hi @freesoftwarewiz,

I really am sorry you felt this free plugin deserved such a low rating. 🙁 I’d really love to discuss this to see if there’s some way we can assist and I’ve mentioned a bit about that in your other review here:

I can totally appreciate that you prefer that other plugin, no problem there as everyone has their workflow preferences and it’s great to hear you found a solution you’re happy with.

But if you’re interested in having a look back at this one, we’d certainly love to help.

Just let us know if so, we hope to hear from you about it. 🙂

    Meanwhile, have a great week!

    Hey freesoftwarewiz,

I just wanted to mention that we’ve recently released a HUGE update to Membership(v4.0). In-fact, it’s completely re-written!

One of our biggest complaints in the last version was that the plugin was confusing to navigate, well we’ve re-designed the user interface from the ground up 🙂 a couple other big improvements include proper user role/capability support for memberships as well as Stripe support. Plus tons more, it really is a whole new plugin now.

I know you’ve probably already moved on way past this but we would love if you gave it another try and updated your review to let us know what you think 🙂 if you still feel it’s a 1 star plugin then of course, just leave your rating as-is, we would still like to hear any feedback you may have though.

    Cheers,
    Tyler

PS. As for the nags, we are actually working on re-designing those along with our WPMU DEV Dashboard to make them all less intrusive.

PPS. You may also notice in our support area that we have upped our game when it comes to support on our free plugins too 🙂 we have a staff member dedicated to only supporting our free versions now.
