  • Hi there,

    Just installed this plugin, setup everything including my first email and subscribed from my email address, received the first message as expected, but didn’t get any subscriber notification emails.

    Tried with both Double-Optin Enabled and Disabled but I don’t get a notification regardless of which option is selected.

    My ‘Sender of all emails:’ is in this format
    (except with my real information:)
    Firstname Lastname <>

    I receive the email (from the autoresponder) no problem, and the email from address looks fine when I receive it (which I suspect means that I have the correct details above).

    I’m not sure why I’m not getting the subscriber-notification though.

    When I first installed the plugin, I did get the following error upon activation though which isn’t very useful but might mean more to you than it does to me.. however I haven’t received any ‘headers already sent’ messages that it warned me about:

    The plugin generated 277 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.

    I’m using the latest version of WordPress and I downloaded your plugin today so I assume it’s also the latest version.

    Any ideas as to why I wouldn’t be getting notified?

    (Unfortunately I depend on this feature as they receive an invitation code when they first subscribe, and I have to “manually” upgrade them to a VIP status in a different program as their “thankyou” for subscribing)

    Should the mail definitely be sending to the ‘Sender of all emails:’ ?
    And not to a wordpress email or admin email or something?
    Because I’ve also checked spam folders and done searches in the “sender of all emails” email account, and there is nothing.

    I’ve also sent a test message to the “sender of all emails” account and that arrives immediately too.

    Not sure what other tests I can do on my end, but I’ll keep trying to figure it out while I wait for a response.. 🙂

    (I’m also not getting any “unsubscribe” notification either)

    PS.. my hosting is a reseller account with Hostgator if that means anything..

    I guess you have done this correctly but still have to ask. Are the following checkboxes checked?

    – Notify me when someone subscribes/activates

    – Notify me when someone unsubscribes

    I just triple-checked here, emails are sent fine. Sorry, can’t know why they are not sent for you.

    Exactly which email address does it go to?

    It goes to the “Sender of all emails”

    Just tested again with a new subscriber email address (a gmail add), confirmed.. and still no notification.

    What a shame this isn’t working for me.

    If you send me admin access to my email (click on my username) I can have a look for you. But obviously I need admin access.
