  • same for me. it was working fine for months now im not getting the emails and nothing has changed!

    Hello,

i have the problem, that I don’t recive an email, when the email ist myname@mypage.net. When i use a freemailer email adress, I recieve the email. The visitor gets his autoresponder email.

I asked the admin to check the log files. http://contactform7.com/faq/i-see-green-border-response-but-i-never-receive-mail/ I’m still waiting for the answer.

    Regards

I’m getting the same problem but with a red border response – so I have had to temporarily change the response to that of success. It’s collecting the email address but not sending users the email.

It’s collecting the email address but not sending users the email.

    Mean
Users = autor of the website
    or
Users = visitor of the website?

This isn’t very helpful at all. The FAQ doesn’t cover the eventuality that everything has been fine and nothing has changed. I am using a valid email and everything should be working correctly.

@guappapps I would be focusing my efforts here:

The sending would also fail if the mail server was down, inaccessible or experiencing other problems. In this case, it will be more difficult to solve the issue by yourself. I would suggest you contact your host for support. They may be able to check the error logs to find out the reason for the failure.

    and here:

In some cases, it is possible to solve this issue by using another mail server. Postman SMTP is one of the plugins that will help you do that.

Ok thanks Barnez. Contacted my hosting provider and yes, a recent password change had screwed me up.

I really do think there should be a walk-through of the email and Postman settings for new users using this plugin going forward. But problem solved. Here, have a gold star!

Had this problem after moving from a legacy server at GoDaddy to cPanel. A tech rep solved the problem in seconds…

In cPanel under the Email section there is an item called MX Entry. Changing the Email Routing from the default “Local Mail Exchanger” to “Remote Mail Exchanger” solved the issue of not receiving mail from all contact forms on the site.
