Not receiving comment notifications

    Hi! So my site is new and I am not receiving email notifications when I receive a new comment. Right now it is set to approve posts. Under settings/discussion, I have it set to receive notifications. I have changed my email and then confirmed it…still no notices. Help!

    Is your server setup correctly to send email? SPF, DMARC etc?

    Check your servers email logs, see if they are actually going out.

    These days to get best deliverability you need to use a 3rd party service like sendgrid, sparkpost mailgun etc unless you know how to properly configure an SMTP server.

    The native php mail () function should work fine if your WordPress hosting server is configured to use PHP mail() function.

    In my case, it’s working fine for ten years without any issue.

    Just have a read of the URL I included in my previous reply.

    If tathat does not get in touch with your hosting provider and ask them if your the server is configured to use PHP mail() function.

    If not, ask them if you need to set up an SMTP. If you do, there are free plugins for that: https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/SMTP/
