    I am not receiving emails to let me know a new user has registered and is awaiting approval. I tested and do receive emails when I register and when I have been approved. I tested with two different email address and both work for the registration and approval, but neither for the email asking me to approve a new user. Any thoughts on what could be wrong?

    I dug into the code, found use of wp_mail in three places of file new-user-approve.php, lines 448, 573, 603.

    In all three cases the call is made thusly:

    wp_mail( $user_email, $subject, $message, $this->email_message_headers() );

    something must be hosed up with $this->email_message_headers() function, when it’s removed as a parameter mail sends immediately.

    wp_mail( $to, $subject, $message );

    I’m sorry you’re having trouble setting up the plugin. The Approve User menu won’t show up if user registrations to your site are disabled. Please make sure “Anyone can register” is checked in Settings > General.

    I’m not sure Konstantin understands the problem. The plugin is set up fine but is not sending an email to the admin to let them know that someone has registered and needs to be approved. I had this working in the past, but it looks like an update somewhere along the way must have caused issues.

    So Konstantin, can you tell us how to correct the problem of the plugin not sending an email to the admin to let them know that someone has registered?

    I just realized that Konstantin has a similar plugin, but is not the author of this plugin.

    According to the plugin author, Josh, the plugin should have this functionality. WordPress is sending any other email that is should be sending, aside from this one, so I know that it shouldn’t be an issue with my hosting server.

    I posted this almost 3 weeks ago and no response yet. My client has asked for me to use another plugin, if anyone has any suggestions. I just need to be able to have users subscribe and then receive an email to go in and approve them.
