• Evening,

I’ve recently discovered that I’m no longer receiving emails through the contact form on my website.

    http://www.redrosephotos.co.uk/contact-us/

Having deactivated and reinstalled all my plugins this hasn’t rectified the problem so I read that this could be a wordpress problem and to try the “forgotten password” option to see if I receive an email that way.

Needless to say I didn’t receive an email so clearly something major is amiss with my wordpress. Initially I thought it was the contact form but as I’m not receiving emails when I request a password reminder either I suspect it is wordpress related.

The only thing I can think of that’s changed recently was an upgrade to wordpress 3.5.2.

I’m at a total loss as to how I go about fixing those and would really appreciate some help.

    Kind regards

    Brent

Try installing the wp-smtp plugin. You will have to use a custom email accounts, you could just sign up for a free one from gmail specifically from this, and see if that resolves your issue.

    Much obliged.

Works a treat and such a simple fix. Really grateful for that.

Any idea what the problem is in the first place and why it suddenly all stopped working?

Could have to do with your host. I have never found the built in email functions reliable.

Well thanks again and hopefully this change will prevent any further issues.
